Morgan Saylor as the Teenage Rebel (Teen Vogue)

Age: 18
Hometown: Atlanta

Dram Team: To say Morgan’s life completely changed with one audition would sound cliché, if it weren’t the truth. At sixteen she catapulted to stardom by landing the role of Dana Brody on Homeland—Showtime’s most celebrated series ever—opposite her mentor, Claire Danes. “I’ve seen My So-Called Life, so watching Claire act is really cool,” Morgan says.

Onward and Upward: Morgan heats up the silver screen opposite Liv Tyler in next year’s Jamie Marks Is Dead, a dark indie based on the acclaimed novel One for Sorrow about how a small-town high school student’s unexpected death rocks his tight-knit community. “I like meaty roles,” she says. “I want to make great films.” —Anthony Rotunno

Bonus fact: Morgan was shot inside the Psycho house at the Universal Studios Backlot. She flew in just for our shoot from the Homeland set, where she’d been in the middle of filming.

Morgan wears a Valentino dress. Tracy Watts hair band with veil, $150.

Homeland’s Morgan Saylor on Season 3 and Dana’s Scandalous Selfies

In just two seasons, Homeland’s teenager-in-residence Dana Brody, played by real life teenager Morgan Saylor, has become one of the most polarizing characters on television. Whether you blame it on her propensity to play with her fingers when stressed, or her severe case of perma-bitch-face, it’s clear that the sulkiest teen on TV has reached Skyler White levels of online vitriol. Unfortunately for all the haters, the third season of Homeland promises to be the most Dana-centric yet, as she struggles to come to terms with being the daughter of America’s most wanted. We caught up with the 18 year-old Saylor ahead of Sunday’s premiere, and talked about being famous in high school, her friendship with Claire Danes, and what’s in store for the Brodys after their family’s patriarch was accused of pretty much blowing up the entire CIA. Spoiler alert: It’s not pretty.

Homeland’s Morgan Saylor Dishes on Dana’s New Love Interest

Morgan Saylor—the dynamic, fresh-faced ingenue who stars as the angsty daughter of a terrorist on Homeland—recently walked the Emmys red carpet looking every bit the Hollywood star. The 19-year-old, dressed in an Honor gown and Christian Louboutin heels with slicked-back hair and red lips, exuded glamour—she even nailed the classic over-the-shoulder pout for the cameras.

When Saylor isn’t filming dramatic scenes on Homeland—holding her own alongside industry vets like Claire Danes—or walking the red carpet (she attended this year’s Met Gala), she can be found doing normal, un-Hollywood activities like baking pies (“I’m really good at it!”) and climbing rocks in Brooklyn (“I take it seriously, and competitively!”) with her boyfriend.
